ADA University alumni are represented at COP29

Narmin Jarchalova has been appointed as a Chief Operations Officer for COP29 Azerbaijan.

Having received a degree from the University College London (UCL) on the Underlying Determinants of Deforestation with Special Attention to Agriculture Support, Narmin fulfilled several positions.

Starting from 2013, Ms. Jarchalova pursued her career at the Heydar Aliyev Foundation an officer championing environmental protection and climate action projects and worked in different positions at the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. She was also a project manager of the Azerbaijan Pavilion at COP28 UAE.

Another ADA University graduate Leyla Hasanova has been appointed "Youth Climate Champion" of COP29 in Azerbaijan.

Currently, Leyla is serving as the Head of the Secretariat at NAM Youth Organization.

She earned a bachelor's degree in International Studies and currently pursues a master's degree in Public Administration at ADA University. She also participated in an academic exchange program in Politics and International Relations at Kadir Has University in Türkiye.

Ms. Hasanova previously worked as the Coordinator of Executive Education Programs at the Institute for Development and Diplomacy of ADA University.
